We need your help!

The museum is currently facing an uncertain future due, to rising costs across the board. Our staffing costs and utility bills have soared over the last two years, so we need to do more to raise our income. We’ve already made some changes, such as how we run the coffee shop, but without extra support, more difficult changes may follow.

Why fifty?

It’s been fifty years since Dr Dick Squires started his plan to build the museum that we know and love and we have had some fantastic successes over that time. It was a huge community effort to convert the old Doctor’s surgery, with people generously giving their labour, resources and time to create a fantastic local facility.

How can you help?

To see the museum thrive for another fifty years, we are launching a new public fundraising campaign. We have options for all budgets, including a 100 club, patron scheme and sponsorship opportunities. If you can support us financially, we will be hugely grateful, if not, please spread the word.

Patron's Scheme

We welcome new patron’s to help secure the museum’s future.

100 Club

The chance to win a cash prize in our regular draws throughout the year.

Sponsorship

Sponsorship

Your donation could support anything from a single object to an exhibition.

We are also very grateful for any individual donations, whether into our donations boxes while visiting, or via our Donate – Vale & Downland Museum.  Thank you.
